a native of Bowie, Maryland. As a young child, she loved caring for pets and wildlife and decided that veterinary medicine would be an invigorating career. She enjoys working with different species of animals and helping people give their pets the best care.
Kristen attended Trinity University where she obtained a bachelor of science in biology. She then attended Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine where she obtained a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following vet school, Kristen finished a one-year internship at Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Center in Annapolis, MD. Kristen is now excited to join the family at Indian Head Animal Hospital.
Kristen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, exotic animal medicine, and emergency medicine. She has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and two cats. Kristen's hobbies include reading, cooking, dancing, running, and traveling.
