Dr. Salvatore grew up in Queens, NY and then attended the University of Connecticut where he met is wife. Both he and his wife then attended Cornel University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation in 2010, Dr. Salvatore practiced in a 3 doctor hospital in Cortland, NY while his wife completed her veterinary degree. After Dr. Salvatore's wife graduated Cornell, they relocated to Connecticut to be closer to their families. Dr. Salvatore is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, and is also a USDA accredited veterinarian.
For enjoyment, they both enjoy hiking with their dogs, Nutmeg and Delmer. Nutmeg is an 8 year old Pitbull/Lab mix that they adopted from a local shelter and Delmer is a 3 year old bloodhound mix that had been a teaching dog at Cornell. They also have 3 cats, Dexter (15 yrs), Pia (9 yrs), and Bella (5 yrs). Professionally, Dr. Salvatore's has a special interest in veterinary dentistry.
